ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team finished tied for 12th at the World Golf Invitational, posting a team score of +56. Leading the Sailfish was
Celia Schrecker, who delivered a +12 finish, with
Annika Miller close behind at +13.
Schrecker set the pace for Palm Beach Atlantic, securing the 27th position with her +12 total, highlighted by a strong +2 in the final round. Miller was right on her heels, closing the tournament at +13 and matching Schrecker's impressive +2 in that last round.
Nina Gudgeon wrapped up the event at +15, while
Abby Smith posted a +17, capping her performance with a solid +3 in the third round.
The 'Fish showed resilience, tying for 12th place with their +56 team score across three rounds. The final round was their best, as they recorded a +13, improving from their earlier rounds of +25 and +18. Schrecker's leadership was evident as she finished 27th overall with her +12, and Miller followed suit in 31st with her +13. Smith contributed steadily with her +17, and despite a tough final round of +6, Gudgeon ended at +15.
Cara Hilburn completed the event at +30, while
Ashley Tarkanian, participating as an individual, finished with a +22.
The Sailfish return to the course on next week in Lakeland when they take on the Lady Moc Classic hosted by Florida Southern.
