ORLANDO, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer Tin Vastic has been named the D2CIDA Men's Soccer National Player of the Week. Vastic helped lead the offensive efforts for the Sailfish as they climb to a 5-0 record and 1-0 start in SSC play. He becomes the first player in Sailfish history to be named a National Player of the Week.

Over the past week, Vastic recorded three game-winning goals, 10 total shots, and seven shots on target while averaging nearly 80 minutes of action per match. 

To open the week, Vastic recorded a hat trick in a 3-0 victory against Wingate. A pass across the box to Tin saw him juke out the goalkeeper to give PBA a 1-0 lead. His second goal came in the 52nd minute of play where he split between three defenders before burying the ball into the bottom left corner of the goal for a 2-0 PBA advantage. Vastic notched the hat trick in the 65th minute after Niklas Mahler sent the ball across the box to secure the 3-0 victory.

On Thursday last week, Vastic recorded a goal and an assist against Lenoir-Rhyne. His lone assist of the week after passing the ball up field to Fabio Reck to give PBA a 1-0 lead in the 61st minute. In the 72nd minute, he notched his fourth goal of the week on a pass across the box to elevate PBA to 2-0.

To open Sunshine State Conference play against Saint Leo, Vastic recorded the brace to help the 'Fish to a 2-1 victory. He recorded the equalizer in the 62nd minute on a long ball up field from Paul Danner. He drilled the ball past the defender to even the match at 1-1. With time running out, another long ball pass across the box to Vastic set him up to secure the 2-1 victory over the Lions.

National Players of the Week are selected by a volunteer committee of Division II Conference Information Directors from a pool of nominations submitted by conference offices.

The Sailfish will be back in action at Tampa in Tampa, Fla. on Saturday, September 27. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. (EST).
