WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team dropped their midweek non-conference matchup against the Florida Tech Panthers by a score of 2-0.  

Early in the matchup, the Florida Tech press gave the Sailfish fits in the first half, but the Sailfish were able to keep the game deadlocked at one. Both teams had multiple chances in the half to create scoring opportunities but couldn't crack the scoreboard as they headed into the halftime break.  

Moving into the second half, the Sailfish had more possession but still were unable to find the back of the net. In the 56th minute, the Sailfish gave up the first goal of the game on a strike from Lauryn Wood. 

The Sailfish attempted to push back and put together some long shots as well as a few set pieces and corners but couldn't find an equalizer before the Panthers extended their lead. With just under five minutes left to play, Katie Ormerod made an excellent individual effort and potted the insurance goal for the Panthers. 

The Sailfish look to bounce back when they head to Saint Leo on Saturday night for their first SSC matchup of the season at 7:00 p.m.
