WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic University Director of Athletics Courtney Lovely Evans has named Dan Carson the next head coach of PBA men's lacrosse.

"I am very excited to introduce Dan as our next head men's lacrosse coach," Lovely Evans said. "In getting to know his faith journey, it was evident that he would make an excellent addition to the PBA community. He brings a wealth of experience and success throughout his coaching career, and I look forward to seeing how he leads the development of our men's lacrosse student-athletes spiritually, academically, and athletically."

Carson comes to PBA after four years as the head coach at NCAA Division III Messiah University in Pennsylvania. His tenure is highlighted by a 2024 season where the team went 12-6, including a 5-2 record in the Middle Atlantic Conference. Overall, he made it to the conference tournament, finishing in the top four in the league in three of his four seasons.

"I am deeply honored and excited to be named the next head lacrosse coach at Palm Beach Atlantic University," Carson said. "Since first stepping on campus in 2013, PBA has always felt like a special place, and it's truly a dream come true to now lead this program."

Before Messiah, Carson served as the Associate head coach and offensive coordinator at the Air Force Academy. In four seasons, Air Force won the Southern Conference regular season championship two times and was crowned SoCon tournament champions in 2017. The squad posted an overall record of 31-24 with a 16-6 record in the conference.

"I want to sincerely thank Courtney Lovely Evans, TJ Budd, and the entire search committee for their trust, support, and commitment throughout this process," Carlson said. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve this university and its men's lacrosse program."

Carson brings over a decade of coaching experience, including stops at Princeton, Richmond, Grove City College, and Ohio Valley University. He graduated from Marymount University in 2012, playing as a 4-year starter and totaling 63 goals and 93 points for the men's lacrosse team. He also competed on the Marymount swim team for three years. After graduation, Carson attended Ohio Valley where he served as a Graduate Assistant for the men's lacrosse team while earning his Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction.

"Sailfish Nation — get ready. We're going to take the world by storm," Carson said.
