WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse team traveled north for a mid-week showdown against SSC opponent, #14 Rollins College. The Sailfish contested the Tars and went into the half trailing by one but was unable to work back and fell short, 20-9.
The scoring started early with both teams evenly matched through the first half. The Tars jumped ahead early with the first goal of the match within three minutes of play. PBA wasted no time, seeing

Annika Limpert in a man-up situation to even the field. Shortly after, a foul from the Tars gave
Rachel Delate a free position shot to give PBA a 2-1 lead. Rollins quickly netted a trio of goals to take a 4-2 advantage but Delate netted back-to-back goals in the final minute of the quarter for the equalizer, seeing both teams enter the second quarter tied 4-4.
At the start of the second quarter, the Tars took the lead over the Sailfish once again. However, Delate netted her fourth of goal of the game for the equalizer once again. Both teams were evenly contested with strong defensive efforts through the second quarter. The Tars netted another goal to lead PBA headed into the half, 6-5.
After the half, the Tars went on an offensive run netting six goals to take a 12-5 lead over the 'Fish. Rollins was seen outshooting PBA 18-2 while goalie
Courtney Rausch recorded four saves.
Olivia Larges cut into the deficit off the assist from Delate, making the score 12-6 at the end of the third quarter.
PBA's
Arianna Tribble netted her first goal of the match to open the final quarter of play.
Hunter Levinson also netted her first goal off the assist from Delate to cut the deficit to 14-8. Larges netted PBA's final goal of the net from
Bella Marchiano but was ultimately not enough as the Sailfish fell, 20-9.
Palm Beach Atlantic will be back in action on Saturday, April 12 as they return to the PBA Lacrosse Field to host #10 Saint Leo. The match is set to being at 12:00 p.m. (EST).
