WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic baseball team dropped their midweek matchup with the Barry Buccaneers on Tuesday by a score of 16-3.
Elijah Budiac started the game and took the loss while he got through 3.0 full innings with 70 pitches and two strikeouts while giving up 11 hits and 8 runs. Zachary Orloff, Jimmie Buhl, Gavin Ingram, Liam Martin and Jack Mischke all saw action on the mound on Tuesday night.
Patrick Rakes and Ben Green each had multiple hit nights for the Sailfish, each going two for four. Rakes and Matthew Faranda had the two RBIs for the Sailfish. Finley Holmes added another run on a throwing error by the Barry shortstop.
The Sailfish look to shake off this loss when they head down to Lynn for a weekend series that starts Friday at 3:00 p.m.
