Orlando, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team clipped the Fresno Pacific Sunbirds wings on Thursday morning with a 4-1 win. 

In the doubles session, Virginia Borja and Anarella Brito took the third position matchup by a score of 6-0 and was the first matchup to finish. The next match to finish in the doubles session was a loss by Alina Hoermann and Valeria Lopez in the first position by a score of 2-6. The singular doubles point would come down to the match in the second position. It was a tight set but ultimately the Sunbirds took down Elsa Brenner and Cecilia Peroni by a score of 4-6. 

In the singles session, Valeria Lopez demolished her opponent in the sixth position by a score of 6-0, 6-0. Cecilia Peroni also swept her opponent in the 5th position 6-0, 6-0. In the next match to finish, Elsa Brenner took down her opponent by a score of 6-3, 6-1. In the fourth position, Anarella Brito clinched the match for the 'Fish by a score of 7-5, 6-1.  

The match was played as a clinching match so the first and second positions played by Alina Hoermann and Virginia Borja did not finish. Both matches were tied in the second set. 

The Sailfish return to action on Sunday afternoon when they host Jefferson at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center at 1 p.m.
