WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's lacrosse team opened Sunshine State Conference play by hosting Embry-Riddle University inside the PBA Lacrosse field. The Sailfish put up a fight but fell short of the mark 25-3.
The Sailfish got their first glimpse of SSC play with one of the tougher opponents in the conference.
Olivia Larges was seen netting her first goal of the evening off the pass from
Rachel Delate. Delate passed in from the top of the crease to assist Larges. The Eagles were seen outshooting the Sailfish 23 to nine in the first half, netting 16 goals and seeing PBA trail 16-3 at the half to commence a running clock going into the half.
In the third quarter, the Sailfish were seen recording one save and only allowing seven shots. Throughout the duration of the match, PBA was outshot 36-11 but marked six saves compared to the Eagles four saves. The 'Fish looked to rally late but were unable to muster a goal as they fell 25-3.
Palm Beach Atlantic will be back in action as they hit host Montevallo University on Monday, March 23 inside the PBA Lacrosse Field. The match is set to begin at 5:00 p.m. (EST).
