WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish women's tennis team lost a close matchup with the Hillsdale College Chargers on Thursday morning. The Chargers took the matchup 4-3 despite a great effort from the Sailfish.  

Frida Alsterhem and Elsa Brenner got the doubles session off right with a 6-1 win over the Chargers third position team. However, in the first and second positions, the Sailfish dropped both matches 2-6 which allowed the Chargers to clinch the doubles point.  

In the singles session, Valeria Lopez dropped the fifth position matchup first by a score of 2-6, 1-6. However, Alessia Passerini fired right back and defeated her opponent 6-0, 6-2 in the sixth position. Playing in the second position, Virginia Borja brought the Sailfish back even with the Chargers with a 6-3, 6-2 win.  

However, Elsa Brenner and Alina Hoermann dropped their matches in the first and third positions and that allowed the Chargers to clinch the match. Cecilia Peroni won her match in the fourth position, 7-6 (7-4), 6-1 but it was too little too late and the Sailfish fell 4-3. 

The Sailfish return to action on Saturday when they head to Eckerd to take on the Tritons in SSC action at Noon.
