LAKELAND, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team concluded play at the Lady Mocs Classic on Tuesday.
After Monday's action was halted due to weather, the tournament was reduced to a 36-hole tournament with most of the holes being played on Tuesday. In a stacked field with several ranked teams and region opponents, the Sailfish finished 13
th of 18 teams with a score of 621 (318-303).
Jaycee Jenkins led the way as PBA's best finisher. She finished 29
th with a score of eight over-par in the two rounds, highlighted by a 71 (-1) in round two.
Celia Schrecker tied for 46
th at +11.
Riley Hamilton came in 56
thplace, finishing at +12.
Annika Miller finished play in 71
st, improving seven strokes from round one to round two.
Nina Gudgeon rounded out the Sailfish lineup in 80
th, scoring +17, highlighted by a hole-in-one on hole 10 in round one. The hole-in-one is the second in the history of the women's golf program, matching teammate
Emme Lantis from last season.
Renata Petersen also represented the Sailfish as an individual. She earned 89
th with a score of +21.
The Sailfish compete again on March 9 at the Keiser Kup in West Palm Beach.
