WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped their match with the Augusta Jags early on Saturday morning. The Jags took the match 5-2 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
In the first match to finish, Joseph Ramirez and Matthew Young lost in the third position by a score of 1-6. Marko Visontai and Milan VIsontai dropped their second position match 2-6. In the third and final doubles match to finish, Juanfer Contreras and Luis Eduardo Platas won the first position matchup by a score of 7-5.
Luis Eduardo Platas dropped the first matchup of the singles session 3-6, 2-6. In the second position, Milan Visontai lost 4-6, 2-6.
Juanfer Contreras, who was a part of a doubles win, took down his opponent 6-3, 6-2 in the third position singles matchup. Peter Dragar competed in the fourth position but fell by a score of 4-6, 2-6. Kylian Coiteux fell in the first set 0-6 in the 5th position. Coiteux pushed the second set into a tiebreaker but ultimately dropped the tiebreaker to take the loss.
Alejandro Rol Franco got the win 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 over his opponent in the sixth position of the match but it was too little, too late for the Sailfish.
The Sailfish men's tennis team returns to action on Tuesday when they head to Lakeland to take on the Florida Southern Mocs in SSC play.
