WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic athletic department has announced the hiring of Briley Lawson as Assistant Director of Athletic Communications.
 
"I'm super excited to be joining the staff at Palm Beach Atlantic, Lawson said. "It's apparent that the Lord is working through the staff and faculty at PBA, and I'm thrilled to be guided under strong leadership! I'm grateful the Lord has led me to PBA and I'm ready to hit the ground running this spring season!"
 
Lawson comes to PBA after working as an Assistant Sports Information Director at the University of the Cumberlands in Kentucky. While with the Patriots, serving as the main contact for Men's Soccer, Women's Wrestling, Softball, and Men/Women's Golf while serving as the secondary contact for Women's Soccer and Women's Lacrosse. During her time there, she handled the majority of the Patriots' graphics content.

Lawson started her career as a graduate assistant at Truett McConnell University. In her role, she helped cover all 23 sports while managing social media platforms, public address announcing, post-game interviews, statistics, writing, graphics, and more. 
 
Lawson graduated from Truett McConnell University in 2022 with an undergraduate degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Business and the Great Commission. She earned her MBA in the winter of 2023. While attending TMU, she was a member of the Softball team, where she was a four-year starter, earning multiple Appalachian Athletic Conference all-conference honors and breaking multiple school records. While being a student-athlete, she also worked for the athletic department as an operations intern.
