WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic volleyball team swept Saint Leo 3-0 on Saturday at Rubin Arena, with set scores of 25-18, 25-12, 25-21.
The Sailfish showcased a strong offensive performance with 51 kills and a hitting percentage of .390. The team also excelled at the service line, recording eight aces. The Lions struggled to keep pace, managing only 31 kills, hitting .216.
Grace Reynolds led the setting efforts with 39 assists, supporting a balanced attack along with nine digs.
Kaley Board finished with a team-high 12 kills on 22 attempts, posting a hitting percentage of .500.
Kelsey Rogers also contributed 12 kills, achieving a .750 hitting percentage on 16 swings.
Maggie Patterson finished with 11 digs as libero. PBA honored its senior class of Reynolds, Duda Dutra,
Savanna Rogers and
Harper Stokes following the win.

PBA initiated the first set against SLU with a composed start. Reynolds facilitated the attack, contributing early with assists that led to key kills by Stokes and Board, bringing the score to 3-2 for the home side. Reynolds continued to be instrumental, delivering two consecutive service aces and assisting
Nae Jordan and Board, pushing the 'Fish to a 6-3 lead. Midway through the set, the 'Fish capitalized on SLU's errors while K. Rogers and Jordan added crucial points. K. Rogers, in particular, was effective, securing multiple kills that maintained the team's advantage. As the set progressed,
Sydney Corbett and Rogers added kills, extending the lead to 20-15.
Closing out the set, the 'Fish maintained momentum with K. Rogers and Corbett delivering decisive kills. A pivotal service ace from
Maggie Patterson concluded the set, securing a 25-18 victory for the 'Fish.
The 'Fish began the second set with a strong defensive effort, highlighted by Rogers' kill to equalize the score early. Reynolds consistently provided crucial assists, facilitating kills for Board and Stokes, helping the team pull ahead. Midway through the set, the 'Fish capitalized on a series of attack errors from the Lions, establishing a lead. Dutra's service ace extended the advantage, and continued offensive pressure, including a kill by Jordan, maintained momentum.
The 'Fish closed the set emphatically with
Rachel Smith's kill and a service ace by
Renee Direny, finishing with a decisive 25-12 victory, widening the overall match lead.
The third set began with the 'Fish gaining momentum early, with Stokes securing the opening point on a kill from Reynolds. The team maintained a narrow lead following a series of exchanges, including key kills from K. Rogers and
Sofia Augusto. Midway through the set, the 'Fish extended their lead with kills from
Brighten Sedmack and Board, pushing the score to 16-11. Despite a brief rally from the Lions, which narrowed the gap to 18-17, the 'Fish responded with decisive points from K. Rogers and Augusto, keeping a steady advantage.
The set concluded with the 'Fish capitalizing on a final kill by Augusto, assisted by Reynolds, to close the set at 25-21, securing the win.
PBA volleyball is back in action on Nov. 14 at Florida Tech. The match in Melbourne, Fla. is set for 7 p.m.
