SAINT LEO, Fla. — The Palm Beach Atlantic volleyball team swept Saint Leo 25-13, 25-15, 25-21 on Thursday at Marion Bowman Activities Center.

Grace Reynolds led the team with 32 assists and added four service aces. Kelsey Rogers finished with a team-high 10 kills on a scorching .563 hitting percentage and contributed two blocks. Harper Stokes recorded six kills on eight attempts for a .750 hitting percentage. Kaley Board added eight kills and one block in the match. Sydney Corbett tallied eight kills, hitting an efficient .316. Nae Jordan with seven kills of her own. The Sailfish recorded a .351 hitting percentage, significantly outpacing the Lions' .122. Maggie Patterson totaled 13 kills as libero.

"We love a conference road win," PBA head coach Jeff Huebner said. "I'm so proud of how we handled four matches in seven days in league play. Our team continues to grow in maturity and execution. Grace was awesome tonight, with our team efficiency being over .350 and six digs and four aces. We are looking forward to a little rest and recovery, along with the opportunity to improve some skill sets and get back into Rubin next week."

PBA opened the first set with a focused approach, capitalizing on a service error by Saint Leo's Kaitlyn Anderson to gain an early point.  As the set progressed, the Sailfish's momentum surged with a string of successful plays, including impactful kills from Corbett and Stokes, contributing to a substantial lead. A service ace from Sofia Augusto marked a decisive point in the game, extending PBA's advantage. The 'Fish maintained control throughout the later stages of the set, bolstered by consistent scoring from Jordan and Corbett. The set concluded with Palm Beach Atlantic leading 25-13, setting a strong tone for the match.

The Sailfish surged early in the second set, overcoming an initial error with a series of successful plays. A strong performance from Reynolds, who contributed a service ace and multiple assists, helped the team establish a 6-1 lead. Board's consecutive kills further extended the advantage, while Rogers and Jordan added critical points to maintain momentum. SLU attempted to rally, narrowing the gap to 19-15, but the 'Fish responded decisively. Strong defensive plays and consistent offense, including service aces from Reynolds and a late kill from Corbett, propelled the team to a 25-15 set victory. The 'Fish closed the set with an assertive run, securing a significant lead in the match.

In the third set, the Sailfish began to shift momentum with critical plays from the onset. Stokes recorded an early kill, setting the tone for the set. Despite a brief lead by the Lions due to service aces by Paula Perez Rosales, the 'Fish steadily closed the gap with significant contributions from Board and Jordan. Midway through the set, PBA equalized the score at 17-17 following a series of effective plays, including a service ace by Patterson. The team maintained its momentum with Corbett securing key points, aided by Lexi Berry's service ace, to gain the advantage. The Sailfish closed the set confidently with a decisive kill by Rogers to secure a 25-21 victory over SLU to clinch the 3-0 sweep.

The 'Fish hold a record of 13-4 overall and 3-3 in Sunshine State Conference play. PBA is back in action next Friday against Embry-Riddle. The match in Rubin Arena starts at 6 p.m.
