Box Score

WINTER PARK, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's lacrosse team fell to Rollins College by a score of 13-6 on Saturday night. The Sailfish (5-5) have lost their last two games.

In the first quarter, the Tars got up to a 6-0 lead over the Sailfish. Rollins pushed that lead to 8-0 in the second quarter, but finally the 'Fish got on the scoreboard. That was thanks to a ground ball by Hunter Sheffield, which led to him finding Brad Wharton for PBAs first goal of the game. Rollins responded within a minute and a half, which put them up 9-1 going into the halftime break.

The Tars opened up the second half with a 3-0 run to push their lead to 12-1. It took until the final minute of the quarter for the 'Fish to stop the run. After a shot off the post by Rollins, Christian Bond picked up the ground ball, and that led to Cooper Porter finding Henry Sloyan to cut the score to 12-2, which remained the score through the rest of the quarter.

PBA quickly scored to open up the fourth after a Rollins turnover that led to a ground ball and assist by Caleb Southard when he found Wharton for his second goal of the game, making the Rollins lead 12-3. The Tars responded no more than 20 seconds later, but just a minute after that, the Sailfish scored once again. Cooper Porter was the one to thank after the ground ball pickup by Sarver Adams. The game was still under Rollins' control, as they led by a score of 13-4. With a little over two minutes remaining, Sloyan found Tyler Hopkins for the PBA's fifth goal of the game. Shortly after, Hopkins then found Keegan Southard for the goal to make the game 13-6 in Rollins favor. Unfortunately, the Sailfish ran out of time and couldn't score any more goals to complete their comeback.

Wharton was the team leader in goals for the game with two, and Hunter Sheffield had the most ground balls with four. Pedisich was the starting goalie and played the entire game. He had 15 saves on 13 goal attempts. Porter took the most shots for the 'Fish, with seven total in the game, along with one goal.

The 'Fish have one more game remaining in the season, where they will host Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on Wednesday, Apr. 17 at 7 p.m.
