WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team fell to Keiser 6-1 in its first match of the season.
The 'Fish had one victory in singles play. On singles court four,
Cecilia Peroni earned her first singles win of the season in two sets over Keiser's Tabitha Howe 6-3, 6-3.
Virgina Borja, playing third singles, forced a tie breaker in the second set, but came out short in the super tie breaker (6-1, 5-7, 10-7).
Simona Karlsson Hantzis fell 6-0, 6-1.
Alina Hoermann dropped her match with a final score of 6-0, 6-3.
Frida Alsterhem dropped her match 6-1, 6-2.
Jelsyvette Croes in sixth singles fell 6-1, 6-2.
The Sailfish dropped all three matches in doubles play. On doubles court one, Hantzis and Passerini fell 6-1. The PBA pair of Hoermann and Peroni were defeated 6-0. On doubles court three,
Jasmine Williams and Croes dropped their match 6-2.
Next, PBA plays No. 2 Nova Southeastern on Monday, Feb. 5.
