MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team fell to No. 1 Barry 6-1 this Wednesday. Barry University is one among five Sunshine State Conference teams ranked in the top-25 NCAA DII women's tennis teams.  
 
The Sailfish dropped all three matches in doubles play. On doubles court one, Simona Karlsson Hantzis and Cecilia Peroni were defeated 7-5. The tandem of Alina Hoermann and Virginia Borja fell 6-0. On doubles court three the duo of Jasmine Williams and Frida Alsterhem dropped their match 6-2.  
 
On singles court two Karlsson clinched a win 6-2, 77-63. On singles court one Williams dropped her match 6-2, 6-1. On singles court three Hoermann fell 6-4, 6-3. On singles court four, Borja was downed 6-4, 6-4. Peroni was defeated 6-0, 6-1. On singles court six Alessia Passerini fell 6-2, 6-2.. 
 
Next, the Sailfish travel to play No. 2 Nova Southeastern Thursday, Feb. 8th.
