WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team played to a 1-1 draw with the Eckerd Tritons.
PBA was in control of possession for much of the first half with a total of six shots and 3 corners in the 45 minute period. In the 36th minute, Kendall Popp fired a shot that ricocheted off the woodwork and fell perfectly to Isabella Reinhardt. Reinhardt picked up the loose change and slotted home her fourth goal of the season.
Sammy Peebles made 1 save on 1 shot in the first half. Taylor Jackson came on in relief in the second half.
PBA continued to control possesion in the 2nd half. After an unfortunate turnover from the Sailfish defense, Freija Aflenzer scored after a through ball from Kendall Drummond.
The Sailfish continued to press and dominated the shot totals. A total of 9 shots on goal for the game. Despite the continued pressure, the Sailfish were unable to find a winner and settled for the 1-1 draw.
The Sailfish return to action on Wednesday night at 6 p.m. against Lynn at the Rinker Athletic Campus.
