WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team dropped a nonconference match 4-3 to Catawba.
Svea Crohn notched her third singles win of the season. The Germany native defeated CC's Miya Ami 6-3, 6-4.
Alina Hoermann won her second consecutive match over Lena Friedrich 6-1, 6-4.
Alessia Passerini earned her ninth career singles victory in three sets over Matilde Moretti 4-6, 6-4, 6-4. The victory marked Passerini's fourth consecutive win in singles play. Hoermann and Passerini are tied for the team lead in singles wins with four each this season.
On singles court four,
Anabelle Robichaud was defeated 6-1, 6-0.
Giovana Kelm dropped her match 6-1, 6-3.
Frida Alsterhem was defeated 7-6, 6-4. The Sailfish dropped all three matches in doubles play. The PBA pair of
Jelsyvette Croes and Crohn fell 6-4. The tandem of
Cecilia Peroni and
Greta Langiu were defeated 6-2. In doubles court three,
Avery Brothers and
Elvira Edstrom dropped their match 6-4.
