WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team picked up its second win of the season over Florida National 7-0.
On doubles court one,
Jelsyvette Croes and
Svea Crohn defeated FNU's Karyna Krykunenko and P. Suwanruk 6-3. The Crohn and Croes duo is 1-0 in doubles play this season.
Elvira Edstrom and
Giovana Kelm notched their first victory in doubles play over FNU's Emerald Cooke and Paulina Jankun 6-4. In doubles court three
Anabelle Robichaud and
Avery Brothers pulled out a 7-6 (7-9) tiebreaker over FNU's Vanessa Simone and Salome Sierra. Robichaud and Brothers are 1-0 in doubles play this season.
In singles action,
Alina Hoermann picked up her second career singles win over FNU's Vera Hoekstra 6-3, 6-2.
Greta Langiu notched her first singles victory of the season over Simone 6-2, 2-6, 10-5. In singles court three,
Alessia Passerini defeated Sierra 2-6, 6-4, 10-6. For Passerini (2-2) this marks the seventh singles win of her career.
Cecilia Peroni earned her eighth career singles victory over Suwanruk 6-1, 6-1. PBA freshman
Giovana Kelm earned her second career singles victory over Krykunenko 6-3, 6-3. Additionally,
Frida Alsterhem notched her eighth career singles victory in dominant fashion over Jankun 6-0, 6-0.
