LAKELAND, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team was defeated by No. 24 Florida Southern 5-2.
PBA's two points came from freshman
Marko Visontai and
Peter Drager. On singles court four Drager defeated FSC's Alex Fascio 6-4, 5-7, 1-0 (10-4.) The Hungary native notched his second singles win of the year. On singles court five, Visontai took down FSC's John Gidefjord 0-6, 6-3, 1-0 (10-7.) Visontai has won his last three consecutive singles matches and currently leads the 'Fish in singles wins with five this season.
On singles court one,
Roberto Binaghi fell 6-3, 6-4.
Luis Eduardo Platas was defeated 6-2, 6-2.
Juan Fernandez dropped his match 6-0, 6-3. On singles court six,
Juanfer Contreras was defeated 6-2, 6-4.
On doubles court one, Visontai and
Blake Williams dropped their match 6-4. The tandem of Contreras and Platas took their match to a tiebreaker but fell 7-5. Binaghi and
Axel Reich were defeated 6-0.
Next, PBA hosts No. 4 Barry on Tuesday, Mar. 28 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
