WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team picked up its fifth victory of the season over Eckerd 7-0. PBA's all-time record versus Eckerd moved to 12-0.
The Sailfish won all three doubles matches and all six singles matches. On doubles court one the PBA tandem of
Cecilia Peroni and
Greta Langiu defeated Maya Soligo and Kylie Misdorp 7-5. The PBA pair of
Frida Alsterhem and
Jasmine Williams (1-0) made their first appearance of the season together and defeated Alexis Kwasnik and Raia Jagger 6-3. On doubles court three,
Anabelle Robichaud and
Giovana Kelm took down Erica Chavarria and Julia Triska 6-2 for their first doubles win of the season.
Alessia Passerini on singles court three clinched the match for the 'Fish. Passerini (7-4) defeated Kwasnik 6-2, 6-1. On singles court one, PBA freshman
Alina Hoermann notched her fifth singles win of the year over Misdorp 4-6, 6-1, 10-3. Langiu took down Triska 6-0, 6-1. On singles court four,
Elvira Edstrom earned her 25th career singles victory over Raia Jagger 6-2, 6-1. Edstrom is the active leader in career singles wins for the 'Fish. Peroni defeated Lili Reichert 6-2, 6-0 for her seventh singles win of the season. Passerini and Peroni lead the 'Fish in singles play with seven wins each this season. On singles court six, Jelseyvette Croes (1-0) made her first appearance in singles play and defeated Soligo 6-1, 6-4.
