ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. -- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team began their spring season earlier today at the World Golf Invitational, hosted by Flagler College. The Sailfish placed 15th out of 15 teams. 

Nina Gudgeon was the highest placement for the Sailfish in their spring opener. Gudgeon would finish the tournament in a tie for 30th place, ending the final round with a score of +1. Mackenzie McCormack was the second highest placement with a final round score of +8 that put her in a tie for 40th. Olivia Gronborg from fellow Sunshine State Conference member Nova Southeastern was the individual winner of this invitational. Gronborg would end the tournament with a score of -7. Nova Southeastern also picked up the team win with two of their golfers finishing in the top five. 

Jade Staudt finished the tournament in a tie for 71st place, Skye Bruen tied for 76th place, and Elena Denny would end the tournament in 80th place to round out the placements for the Sailfish. PBA will tee off again on Feb. 20 for the Lady Mocs Classic, hosted by Florida Southern College.
