WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team faced its third nationally-ranked opponent this season. The Sailfish fell 6-1 to No. 16 Tampa. PBA is 5-8 all time versus the Spartans. The Sailfish schedule currently features ten teams nationally ranked in the ITA's Top 25 Division II Collegiate Rankings. 
Alessia Passerini earned a three-set victory over UT's Savannah Williams 2-6, 6-3, 10-8. For Passerini, this marks her seventh career singles victory. The sophomore from Italy is 2-2 in singles play this season. 
In singles court one, PBA freshman 
Svea Crohn (2-3) dropped her match 6-0, 6-4. 
Greta Langiu was defeated 6-1, in consecutive sets. 
Elvira Edstrom fell 6-4, 6-3. In singles court five, 
Cecilia Peroni was defeated 6-2, 6-2. 
Anabelle Robichaud dropped a close second set tiebreaker and fell 6-3, 7-6. 
In doubles play, on doubles court two Peroni and Langiu fell 6-0. The PBA pair of Crohn and Passerini was defeated 6-4. 
Giovana Kelm and Edstrom made their first doubles appearance of the season. The tandem dropped their match on doubles court three 6-3. 
Next, PBA hosts Florida National on Friday Mar. 3 at the Mitch Gornto Tennis Center.
