WEST PALM BEACH, Fla.- The Palm Beach Atlantic men's tennis team dropped its match versus the Ave Maria Gyrenes 7-0.
The Sailfish went 0-3 in doubles play. PBA's freshman tandem of
Peter Drager and
Axel Reich dropped a tight 7-5 tiebreaker. The duo of
Marko Visontai and
Blake Williams were defeated 6-2. The pair of
Kazuma Uematsu and
Osvaldo Sergio Godoy lost 6-2.
In singles play,
Roberto Binaghi dropped his match 6-2 in consecutive sets.
Luis Eduardo Platas played a marathon match with all three sets going to tiebreakers. Platas was defeated 7-6, 5-7, 10-7.
Juanfer Contreras lost 6-2, 6-4. Visontai dropped his match 6-2, 6-3.
Michal Precikowski was defeated 6-1, 6-2.
Juan Fernandez took his match to three sets but fell 6-4, 4-6, 10-2.
A quick turnaround is in store for the 'Fish as they travel to Winter Park on Tuesday Feb. 14 for an SSC tennis tilt with Rollins.
