WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team (1-5-2) lost 0-6 to Nova Southeastern University Sharks (8-0-1) in a Sunshine State Conference match on Wednesday night.

The game began with the Sharks immediately applying pressure. The Sharks' relentless offensive moves throughout the first half kept the Sailfish goalie Sammy Peebles busy, as she had to make multiple saves early on. The Sailfish had chances, with Wilma Ritzen being notably active but her shots were just off target.

The Sharks' Luana Grabias broke the deadlock, putting her team ahead with a goal, swiftly followed by Sofia Suarez doubling the lead. The Sharks continued with another goal off a corner kick by Grabias, extending the lead further. As the first half neared its conclusion, the Sharks' Dani Correa netted a header, making it a 5-0 advantage heading into the break.

The first-half statistics were telling, with the Sailfish managing seven shots in total, four being on target, while the Sharks were more efficient in their attempts on goal.

The second half saw the Sailfish trying to regain some ground. Despite their efforts, including a free kick from Ariana Jones and a valiant attempt from Michelle O'Driscoll, they struggled to convert opportunities into goals.

The Sharks' Grabias found the net again, her third of the game, making it a 6-0 lead. The Sailfish had their chances, with a total of five shots in the second half, but only one was on goal. The Sailfish goalkeeper Taylor Jackson entered at halftime and made a commendable four saves, but the relentless Sharks offense was too much to handle.

The match concluded 6-0 with the Sharks in the lead.

The next game for PBA will be on Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. at Rinker Athletic Campus. The 'Fish will compete against the University of Tampa.
