BOCA RATON, FLA.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team fell to Lynn University by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday night. The Sailfish (1-8-3) have now been scoreless in seven of their losses this season.
The first half the 'Fish only managed to get up only one shot but held Lynn to only two shots on their end. It was a very physical first half with both teams trying to get on the board as there were seven fouls drawn early. At the break, the score was tied at 0-0 with no clear sight at who would touch the inside of the net first.
The second half the Fighting Knights came out with a chip on their shoulder and put the offensive pressure on the 'Fish. About midway through the half, Brigitta Pulins put Lynn up on the board for the first and only time of the game. All the Fighting Knights had to do was protect their turf in order to seal the win. That they did, even though #11
Marina Leal had a open field late in the second to tie the ball game but kicked it right into the keepers hands.Â
PBA only was able to get up three shots total in the game to Lynn's 10. Both teams recorded only one save a piece as well.
The Sailfish are back at the Rinker Athletic Center Saturday, Oct. 28 at 7 p.m. to host Eckerd College. Only three games left to play for the season, lets hope the ladies finish strong.Â
