CLINTON, Miss.- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team dropped their road match against the Mississippi College Choctaws 5-0 on Sunday. The Sailfish dropped to 1-3-1 on the season.
In the first half, PBA was out-shot by the Choctaws 9-2. The Sailfish had an early opportunity to score in the 10th minute.
Ariana Jones launched a shot on goal but it was saved by MC's goalkeeper.
MC's Erin Hederman scored the Choctaws first goal in the 15th minute. Hederman kicked a shot outside of the box that went off the post and into the net. Hederman finished the game with two goals. The Choctaws held on to their 1-0 lead into halftime.
The second half is when the flood gates opened for MC. The Choctaws wasted little time as Kaylee Foster scored in the 46th minute for a MC 2-0 lead. In the 56th minute the MC scored two goals to build their lead to 4-0.
The Choctaws tacked on one final goal in the 65th minute. Hederman's second goal brought the score to 5-0 as it would remain through the duration of the game. The Sailfish finished the game with six shots with four of them on goal.

Sydney Brewer and
Isabella Reinhardt each had one.
Next, PBA begins Sunshine State Conference play. The Sailfish host Saint Leo on Saturday Sep. 10.
