MIAMI SHORES, Fla- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team had its four-game winning streak snapped 7-0 at No.1 Barry on Sunday. The Sailfish (5-7) faced their fifth opponent ranked in the national top-25.
The Sailfish went 0-3 in doubles competition. The PBA tandem of
Courtney Page and
Verena Weindl fell 6-2. The pair of
Elvira Edstrom and
Anabelle Robichaud dropped their match 6-3.
Greta Langiu and
Alessia Passerini went down 6-0.
The 'Fish were unable to take a match in singles competition. Robichaud fell 6-0 in consecutive sets. Langiu lost her match 6-1, 6-0. PBA freshman
Jelsy Croes made her first appearance in the lineup. Croes was defeated 6-2, 6-0. Weindl fell 6-1, 6-0.
Frida Alsterhem (4-2) suffered her second defeat of the season 6-2, 6-1.
