WEST PALM BEACH, Fla- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's tennis team defeated the Eckerd Tritons 6-1 on Tuesday. This victory marks the first SSC win for the 'Fish this season.
The Sailfish went 3/3 to take the doubles point. The PBA duo of
Courtney Page and
Verena Weindl won their match 6-0 over Alexis Kwasnik and Raia Jagger.
Elvira Edstrom and
Anabelle Robichaud beat Theo Schultz and Lili Reichert 6-1.
Alessia Passerini and
Jasmine Williams picked up their sixth victory of the season 6-4 over Ericka Chavarria and Julia Triska.
In singles competition, the 'Fish took five out of six matches. Robichaud defeated Reichert 6-2, 6-0.
Frida Alsterhem (5-2) beat Triska 6-2, 6-0. PBA freshman
Jelsy Croes picked up her first singles win over Kwasnik 6-0, 6-2. Weindl took down Schultz 6-1, 6-2.
Greta Langiu dropped her match in three sets 7-6, 5-7, 10-8. Edstrom matched up with Chavarria, and pulled out a three-set victory 3-6, 6-4, 10-3.
PBA moves to 6-7 on the season. Up next, the Sailfish host the Rollins Tars on Monday, Mar. 28.
