WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball team dropped a home game to Nova Southeastern on Saturday afternoon by a 97-58 final score. The loss drops the Sailfish to 2-2 in conference play and 4-3 overall. The Sharks improve to 8-1 on the season with the victory.
The Sharks got out to a hot start offensively as they shot over 70 percent in the first quarter and opened up a 37-13 lead. Kash Ayuso scored seven first half points and added four rebounds for the 'Fish as they trailed 59-29 at the break.
Nova Southeastern picked up where they left off in the second half, as they cruised to a 97-58 win. The Sailfish offense was more efficient in the second half, as Ayuso led the way on the afternoon with 15 points and five rebounds, while Claire Davis finished with 14 points and a team-high seven rebounds. Chelsea Aalim added seven points for PBA on the day.
Mackenzie Steele led the way for NSU with 27 points on the day while Madison Frederick added 23 points and 10 assists for the Sharks.
PBA will be back in action on Tuesday, December 13 as they will host Johnson University inside Rubin Arena. Tipoff is scheduled for 5:30 pm.
