WEST PALM BEACH, Fla- The Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer team defeated the Eckerd Tritons 4-2 in a high-scoring affair Saturday night. The No. 16 Sailfish (9-3, 6-2 SSC) move to 6-1 at the Rinker Athletic Campus this season.
The first half featured a scoring explosion between both teams. The 'Fish got it started in the 21st minute. PBA forward
Kelly Giddes had the ball near the box, weaved through defenders, and passed the ball to
Angel Shamba who fed a cutting
Serena D'Anna. D'Anna drilled the back of the net to give PBA the 1-0 lead. The goal was D'Annas third goal of the season. Both Giddes and Shamba recorded an assist on the play
The Tritons wasted little time to find an equalizer as Eckerd would capitalize on a corner kick in the 23rd minute. EC midfielder Hajar Benjoud connected with Aisling Spillane in front of the net. Spillane's header tied the game at 1-1.
With the game tied the Sailfish answered back in the 25th minute.
Halie Reznik found
Ansleigh Crenshaw in the box. Crenshaw turned and ripped a shot that bounced off the top crossbar into the net to bring the PBA lead to 2-1. Reznik tallied her second assist of the year. Crenshaw was not finished as she added an insurance goal for the 'Fish in the 60th minute. Crenshaw received a cross near the box. She juked out two defenders and blasted a shot that hit the left side of the net. Crenshaw's third goal of the year gave PBA a 3-1 lead.

Sydney Cromwell joined the scoring party in the 75th minute. From outside the box, Cromwell launched a shot into the top right corner of the net. The highlight goal was Cromwell's first of the season as PBA commanded a 4-1 lead.
The Sailfish dominated possession in the second half. The Tritons would cut into the deficit in the 79th minute but their comeback effort would come up short for a 4-2 PBA victory.

Rachel Neumann started in net and recorded three saves. The 'Fish are 8-1 when Neumann starts in goal.
