Sailfish Win Big at Home Over Lions

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic University men's soccer team moved to 4-0 on the season after a home victory against Florida Memorial University on Monday night. With goals from Mo Redjeb, Giancarlo Triulzi, Guillermo Deal, and Gian Scalise, the Sailfish were able to see off the Lions for a 5-1 victory.

Tonights game was the first time the Sailfish were in action since their emotional overtime victory against ranked Spring Hill College. That gave the opportunity for other players to have a significant impact with some of the main stays in the Sailfish lineup sitting this game out. Florida Memorial proved to be sound defensively for a majority of the first half. Waves of Sailfish pressure didn't materialize into goals until in the 42nd minute Mo Redjeb was able to pounce on a deflected ball in the box and put PBA ahead. It didn't take long for the 'Fish to double their lead when Matty Crookes found an open Giancarlo Triulzi in the 44th minute.

Coming out of the break up two goals the Sailfish continued the pressure early which led to a Guillermo Deal goal in the 51st minute and Giancarlo Triulzi scoring his second in the 77th. The goal of the night came from a Gian Scalise free kick in the 80th minute. From 30 yards out Scalise struck a left-footed free kick over the Florida Memorial wall and into the right side of the net beating keeper Angel Garcia.

Defensively the 'Fish rotated a backline that kept both Patrick Seuffert and Patrick Nettekoven clean for most of the night. They each had one save in the game where PBA out shot FMU 22-5.

Up next for the No. 9 ranked Sailfish is the beginning of Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday night at Florida Southern College before returning home on Sept. 25 to face Flager College.
