DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball dropped an SSC game to Embry-Riddle on Saturday, as they fell to the Eagles by a 74-49 final score.  The 'Fish now sit 5-19 on the season and 3-15 in SSC play with two game remaining in the 2018-19 season.

The Sailfish hung with the Eagles for the first half nicely, as they were outscored by five in the opening quarter but evened up the score in the second quarter to go into half tied at 32.  Jonika Garvin had 13 points in the first half for the 'Fish.

ERAU took over the game in the second half as Garvin was forced out of the game as she was in foul trouble.  Victoria Self had a nice second half and finished with 11 points while Mina Salhia finished with eight points and seven rebounds.   Aniyah Ross had a nice game down low, as the junior picked up 11 rebounds in the game. Darsan DeShazier added seven points and Katie Stang finished with four.

The 'Fish had no answer for the ERAU offense in the second half, as the Eagles scored 42 points in the half.

The Sailfish will return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 27 as they will travel to Nova Southeastern before returning home for Senior Day on Saturday, March 2.
