ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic's men's golf team finished 5th out of 19 teams at the Spring Break Intercollegiate tournament hosted by Lincoln Memorial University. The Sailfish finished with a team score of +37 in the three rounds of play which was three strokes behind the fourth place Barton Bulldogs.
Queens College of Charlotte took home the team victory with a team score of +27, just one stroke better than the host team Lincoln Memorial who came in second place. The tournaments overall individual winner was Wanjoo Lee from Coker College who finished -3.
PBA's top performer in the two day tournament was Martin Westerlund who finished +8 and tied for 13 overall. Westerlund finished just one stroke over par in each of his first two rounds. Brady Godwin was the next highest Sailfish performer as he finished tied for 16th with a score of +9. Grant Horvat finished third for the 'Fish and tied for 22nd overall.
Ben Clarke finished at +16 and tied for 34th overall while Diego Buttironi scored a +17 for a tied for 42nd place finish. David Jizdny participated as an independent and shot a +24 for the tournament which gave him an overall finish of tied for 75th.
The Sailfish will be back on the course in the Saint Leo Invitation which is hosted by Saint Leo University on Feb. 25-26 in St. Leo, Fla.
