Sailfish Overwhelm Florida Memorial 9-0

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team had little trouble disposing of Florida Memorial on Monday night, defeating the Lions 9-0. The Sailfish improve to 9-0 on the season with the victory.

PBA got off to a quick start as they put up six goals in the opening half. Timo Knull got things started with his first of the night, just 11 minutes into the match. Drew Fulmer picked up the assist on the goal but that was just the beginning of things to come for Fulmer. He assisted on the next two goals as Luiz Soupinski and Jack Burrows scored five minutes apart. Fulmer then also picked up an assist in the second half to finish the match with four.

Soupinski added his second of the match just moments later to give PBA a 4-0 lead. Raphael Campos provided the assist and added another with 1:39 to play in the half. Luis Quintero scored his first goal for the 'Fish on the play. Campos added his first goal of the season moments later with just 36 seconds left in the half as he shook a Lion defender before burying a shot into the net. Campous also picked up an assist on Paul Pulkowski's goal in the second half.

In the second half it was Knull who added his second of the night just seven minutes into the period as he scooped up a rebound shot and blasted it into the net. Pulkowski added his mark in the tally sheet midway through the second half after a nice buildup from Campos who played off to Fulmer who left it for Pulkowski who fired into the net.

In the 82nd minute Nicolas Boucher was able to put his head to good use off a corner kick from Blake Barribeau. Boucher dove into the box and drove the ball past the FMU keeper. The nine goals and 26 points ties the PBA D2 era record, both of which were previously set in 2015 against Ave Maria.

The Sailfish will turn their attention to SSC play once again as they will take on Barry in Miami Shores on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
