BOCA RATON, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's lacrosse dropped a Sunshine State Conference contest Wednesday evening, falling to Palm Beach County opponent Lynn University by a 21-4 final score. The Sailfish fall to 4-10 on the season with the loss and 1-4 in SSC play. Lynn improves to 9-4 on the season and 2-3 in league play with the win.
It was all Fighting Knights early in Wednesday's game, as Lynn scored six goals in the first quarter and five in the second to take an 11-0 lead into halftime.
The Sailfish scored their first goal of the game in the third quarter, as Blake Israel scored an unassisted goal four minutes into the second half.
The Sailfish scored three goals in the final quarter of play, as Jordan Trowbridge scored one goal and Jackson Miller scored the final two goals for the 'Fish. Israel assisted on both of Millers' goals as he picked up three points in the game.
Colin Hayek led the Sailfish with his four ground balls on the night. Lynn finished the game with 54 ground balls as the 'Fish recorded just 28.
The Sailfish will be back in action on Saturday, April 14 as they will travel to take on No. 8 Tampa at 1 p.m.
