MIAMI LAKES, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf finished 15th at the ACF Pizza Lady Buccaneer Invitational, which finished up on Tuesday afternoon at Don Shula's Senator Course in Miami Lakes. The Sailfish shot rounds of 319 and 309 on Monday, and closed out with a final-round 326 on a very windy Tuesday morning. Nova Southeastern won the tournament, as they edged out the University of Indianapolis for the victory.
Taylor Heinz led the way for the Sailfish this week, as she shot rounds of 76, 74, and 83 for the tournament. Heinz finished in a tie for 47th overall in the 17-team tournament. Alex Dowd was the second highest finisher for the 'Fish, as she finished with rounds of 81, 74, and 79. Her second-round 74 was a career low round for Dowd, who birdied four holes in the round.
Taylor Sukmana finished her tournament with rounds of 81, 79, and 83 as she finished in 73rd overall. Ryanne Jackson (81-82-82, 245) and Melanie Stark (84-87-82, 253) rounded out the scoring for the Sailfish.
The Sailfish will return to action in two weeks, as they will participate in the Lady Panther Invitational from April 8-10 in Melbourne, Fla.
