Sailfish Fall in Boca Raton to Lynn 85-65

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball dropped a Sunshine State Conference game on Wednesday evening, as they fell to the Lynn Fighting Knights by an 85-65 final score.  The Sailfish fall to 4-17 on the season with the loss, which is their fifth consecutive defeat.  Lynn ties up the season series at one win apiece and improves to 11-12 on the season.

Lynn got off to a strong start offensively, as they shot 42 percent in the first half and took a 43-33 lead into the break.  Barbora Zilkova made three shots from long range in the half, as she scored 11 total points off the bench in the first 20 minutes.  Hannah Grim and Nkiru Anyagaligbo scored double-digit points for the 'Fish in the first half, as Grim scored 13 and Anyagaligbo finished the half with 12.

The second half was more of the same for the Fighting Knights offense, as Lynn shot 40 percent from three and nearly 50 percent overall to win the game by 20 points. 

Grim had another solid offensive night for the Sailfish, as the senior finished with 22 points and seven rebounds in 30 minutes of action.  Anyagaligbo finished with 19 points on 9-of-17 shooting on the night, while also blocking two shots and grabbing four boards. 

Ciara Cumbie had a nice night for the 'Fish, as she scored 12 points, grabbed six rebounds, and led the team with four assists. 

The Sailfish will return to action on Saturday, Feb. 10 on the road against Rollins College.  The Sailfish defeated the Tars earlier this season at home and the game is set for a 2 p.m. tip-off.
