ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's golf team finished 14th Tuesday afternoon in the Flagler Fall Slam which included six of the top 25 teams in the nation. The event was hosted by Flagler College and took place at Marsh Creek Country Club. The tournament was won by Limestone College who is currently 24th in the nation.
Jewel Jorgensen led the way for the 'Fish as Jorgensen shot an 82 in her first round and then shot one under her second round for a score of 153 over the two days. Alex Dowd shot a 158 for the tournament, with a 77 on day one and an 81 on day two. Jorgensen finished at nine over while Dowd finished at 14 over.
Taylor Sukmana and Ryanne Jackson both finished the tournament at 161. Sukmana shot and 81 on the first day and an 80 on the second day while Jackson had an 86 and a 75. They both finished at 17 over. Closely behind them was Deanna Confessore at 19 over finishing with 163 strokes over the two days. NoraNoel Nolan rounded out the scoring for the Sailfish as she shot an 86 and an 80, finishing at 22 over for the tournament.
The Sailfish will return to action on Oct. 29th as they head down to Miami for the Dave Adamonis Sr. Invitational.
