ST. LEO, Fla. – A hot first quarter wasn't enough for the Palm Beach Atlantic women's basketball team on Saturday night as the Sailfish fell to the Saint Leo Lions 57-47.
The 'Fish (4-13, 3-8 SSC) got out to a 17-6 lead at the end of the first quarter as Hannah Grim scored 10 of her game-high 18 in the opening frame before the team struggled shooting the ball the rest of the way. PBA shot just 26 percent in the game while Saint Leo (8-11, 3-8 SSC) finished at 42.6 percent. The Lions shot 50 percent in the second half including knocking down 4-of-9 from beyond the arc.

After leading the whole first quarter the 'Fish could not buy a bucket in the second quarter as they made just one field goal and scored five points as the Lions were able to even the game at 22-22.
PBA took the lead back late in the third as Caroline Patrick connected on one of her two from long range to break a 31-31 tie. The Lions recovered in the final two minutes of the quarter to score eight straight and take a six point lead into the final frame.
A minute into the fourth Darsan DeShazier made a layup that brought the 'Fish within two again but a quick five-point spurt pushed the Lions out in front at a comfortable margin.
Grim added three assists to lead the team while Anyagaligbo collected three blocks and three steals. Tyler Davis added five points and eight rebounds while Patrick finished with six points.
