Sailfish Take No. 13 Sharks to Overtime but Fall 2-1

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic women's soccer took No. 13 ranked Nova Southeastern to overtime on Tuesday night, but dropped the non-conference match by a 2-1 final score.  The Sailfish now sit at 1-2 on the season after losing to two top-15 ranked opponents in the last three days.  NSU is now 4-0 on the season.

The Sailfish struck first in the match, as Gemma Burrul blocked a pass from the Shark keeper and scored an unassisted goal for her first goal of the season.  The Sailfish then played a bend-but-don't-break defense the rest of the half as Isabelle Granlund came up with five key saves in the first 45 minutes.

The Sharks tied the game in the 75th minute on a goal from Monica Orteu.  The 'Fish really picked up their offense from that point forward, as they put six shots on goal in the second half compared to just two for the Sharks.

The match headed to overtime where Nova Southeatern went on to score the game-winner in the 93rd minute to stay undefeated on the season.

PBA's next scheduled match is Friday, Sept. 5 in Milledgeville, Ga. as they are scheduled to take on Tusculum College at 4 p.m.
