WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team continued their undefeated season Wednesday night with a non-conference win over cross-town foe Keiser University by a score of 3-0. The win improves the Sailfish to 11-0-2 on the season.
The Sailfish moved to No. 3 in the United Soccer Coaches National poll this week, and also were ranked No. 1 in the first installment of the NCAA South Region rankings which were released earlier this afternoon.
The 'Fish opened the scoring through
Kebba Nyang just four minutes into the match.
Chris Sandys-Thomas picked out Nyang with a well-placed pass as he streaked into the box toward the keeper.
Three minutes after the start of the second half,
Guillermo Deal got his second goal of the season after beating out the defender, cutting in the box and slotting home a shot.
The final goal for the Sailfish came just a minute and half before the end of the match, when
Raphael Campos curled a shot in from the left wing to the back post.
The 'Fish extend their winning streak to seven matches as they get ready to resume Sunshine State Conference play on Saturday at Florida Southern.
The following Wednesday will be the final home match of the regular season as well as senior night for PBA as they take on Embry-Riddle at the Rinker Athletic Campus at 7 p.m.
