Dennis Leads Sailfish to 3-0 Victory Over Eckerd

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer, led by senior captain Charlie Dennis, earned a big three points on Saturday evening, defeating Eckerd College by a 3-0 score.  The Sailfish now sit 10-0-2 on the season, and remain on top of the Sunshine State Conference standings with their 6-0-1 SSC record.

Dennis, after scoring two goals on Wednesday night against Nova Southeastern, scored a goal in the second minute Saturday to give the 'Fish an early lead.  The goal was assisted by Juan Pablo Puelma, who also assisted on a Dennis goal Wednesday against the Sharks.

The Sailfish dominated possession in the first half, as they outshot the Tritons 11-0.  The Sailfish defense was stellar on the evening, as the completed their sixth consecutive shutout.  The 'Fish have only allowed one goal in their seven conference matches to date.

The 1-0 lead for the Sailfish held until the 60th minute, when Dennis scored his second goal of the night and fourth of the week.  Phill Cardoso assisted on the goal, for his team leading fifth assist of the season.  The Sailfish put the game out of reach in the 72nd minute, as Claudio Rivadeneira scored his third goal of the season, which was assisted on by Fredo Dilbert

The Sailfish have now outscored their opponents 29-2 on the season, and lead all of NCAA Division II in goals against average.
