WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The No. 5 ranked Palm Beach Atlantic men's soccer team continued their undefeated season with another Sunshine State Conference win on Wednesday night, this time besting the Nova Southeastern Sharks by a 4-0 score line. The Sailfish improve to 9-0-2 after the match and reclaim the top spot in the SSC standings.
PBA opened the scoring after 18 minutes through
Jerry Saint-Vil. Following a great cross into the box by
Juan Pablo Puelma, Saint-Vil put a ball into the top corner from the top of the box.
Following the halftime break, the game started to get scrappy with the two teams earning six yellow cards, four for PBA and two for the Sharks.
The second goal of the match came 19 minutes into the second half, as captain
Charlie Dennis fired a left footed shot past the keeper and into the goal.
Dennis added to PBA's lead ten minutes later, netting his second of the match after cutting onto his left foot and firing home from the top of the box.
The final goal of the night came less than a minute later when
Fredo Dilbert finished off a great run of passes from
Kebba Nyang and
Cleef Desir.
The 'Fish will try to earn their sixth straight win at home on Saturday night against conference foe Eckerd College at 7 pm.
