Talia Thompson joined the Sailfish prior to the 2023-24 academic year as the Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach. Thompson earned her bachelors in exercise and sports science from Nova Southeastern University. She earned her masters in sports science at Nova Southeastern University.

Thompson interned in the strength and conditioning department at Nova Southeastern in the spring of 2023, where she helped produce program training plans according to scientific principles that helped adapt athletes' strength and power for their specific sport. Thompson also interned at Florida Atlantic University as the football and Olympic sports strength and conditioning coach where she completed similar practices. 

Thompson has a list of certifications under her belt that make her a perfect fit for the position, such as basic life support, strength and conditioning, and sports nutrition.
