Bella Hernandez joined the Palm Beach Atlantic softball coaching staff prior to the 2025 season as an assistant coach. After an impressive career herself, Coach Hernandez worked with hitters and fielders as an assistant on the Sailfish staff. The Sailfish team batting average improved by 40 points to .263 in 2025 in her first season on the staff and dropped a little to .258 with more than 300 more at bats in 2026.Â
A Clermont, Florida native, Hernandez was a member of the PBA softball team for four years including three seasons under Coach Ty Singleton. Hernandez played primarily second base. She is coming off an impressive senior season in 2024, hitting .265 with a .637 OPS. Leading the team in doubles with seven, she also drove in a team-high 13 runs. She racked up eight multi-hit games and two four-game hit streaks. She also had a .959 fielding percentage. Â
