Emily Penberthy joined the Sailfish as an assistant cross country and track coach during the 2022 season. She has previous coaching experience at the collegiate level as a volunteer assistant cross country coach for Florida State University and assistant track and field coach at the high school level at Canterbury School in Fort Myers, Fla.
Penberthy ran cross country and track at both the University of Alabama and Florida State where she earned All-Region honors in 2017. She holds a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Physiology from Florida State. Penberthy also currently practices physical therapy at Palm Beach Sports Medicine in West Palm Beach, Fla.
