Born May 20... Majoring in Finance... Chose PBA for the opportunity to play golf for Coach Watson and for the Christian environment... Also volunteers at The first Tee of the Palm Beaches... Favorite Athlete is Jack Nicklaus... Favorite Bible verse is Jeremiah 29:11... Daughter of John and Lisa Dowd... Sister of John Dowd.
2019-20 (Senior)
Participated in three events for the Sailfish this year… averaged an 85.75 on the year… shot a season low of 82 at the Battle for Royalty and the Shark Invitational… finished 18th bath the Battle of Royalty on Sept. 23-24.
2018-19 (Junior)
Played in 11 matches for the Sailfish on the season and posted an 80.62 average with a low round of 71 … had two top-10 finishes on the season for the ‘Fish, finishing T-8 at the Coastal Georgia Invitational on Sept. 10-11 and finishing T-5 at 2-over par at the World Golf Invitational in St. Augustine, Fla. on Feb. 3-4.
2017-18 (Sophomore)
Competed in all 11 events on the season, finishing with an 83.03 scoring average … posted a low round of 74 … finished in a tie for 31st at the Panther Invitational on April 8-10.
2016-17 (Freshman)
Alex competed in eight events on the season, finishing with an 86.71 scoring average … had a low round of 81 at the Lady Moc Classic on Feb. 20 … finished 35th in a tough field at the Panther Invitational on April 10-11.
HIGH SCHOOL
Competed at Trinity Catholic and Jupiter HS for coaches Terri Clements, Bernie and Margie O'Brien...Was named a team captain in 2014 and 2015...Qualified for states in 2013 and 2015...First team Palm Beach County in 2014 and Second Team Palm Beach County in 2015.
