Manisha Redus

Bio Divider - PBA Highlights

Manisha Redus was named the Palm Beach Atlantic University’s women’s basketball coach in May 2018.

PBA returned to the SSC tournament in 2024-25. Redus oversaw a team that notched six SSC weekly awards throughout the year. Kash Ayuso and Anabel Ellison earned All-SSC honors. Ellison led the conference in steals while Ayuso was second in the SSC in scoring.

The Sailfish finished with their best season with Redus at the helm as they carried a 15-14 record during the 2023-24 season. PBA went 9-11 in Sunshine State Conference play and earned their first conference tournament appearance. The 'Fish ended the season with the leagues leading scorer, Kash Ayuso (19.7 ppg), and leading rebounder, Mariyah Fletcher (10.7 rpg).

Redus led PBA to its best season since the 2015-16 season as the Sailfish finished with a 10-16 record in 2022-23 including a win over No. 6 Tampa. In her fifth season with the 'Fish, PBA went 6-14 in Sunshine State Conference play and finished just a game out of the SSC Tournament. Mariyah Fletch earned one SSC Player of the Week, one Defensive Player of the Week, and finished second in rebounding in the conference.

In her fourth season, the Sailfish went 6-21 and carried a 3-17 conference record. PBA captured SSC wins over Rollins and Florida Tech twice. Kash Ayuso earned SSC Defensive Player of the Week on Dec. 21 and Shekinah Guthrie earned SSC Player of the Week on Feb. 28.

Redus captained PBA through a shortened 2020-21 season in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic. The 'Fish played an unprecedented eleven-game season, going 4-7. PBA matched the previous season's win total in the shortened season where they made the SSC Tournament for the first time. They made it to the finals after defeating Florida Tech and Rollins before having their season end against Tampa. PBA's Shekinah Guthrie was named SSC Defensive Player of the Year, the first in program history while Maria Benitez-Zayas was named to the All-SSC second team.

The Sailfish took a leap in the right direction in Redus' fifth season in 2022-23. The Sailfish reached double-digit wins for the first time since 2015-16, and the first time since joining the Sunshine State Conference.

In her first season at the helm the Sailfish improved upon their previous season, finishing with six wins in the 2018-19 season, including a program with against No. 23-ranked Valdosta State. PBA experienced more growing pains in the 2019-20 season as the 'Fish finished with a 4-23 record.

She took over a Sailfish program that just completed their first year as a full member inside the Sunshine State Conference, finishing 4-22 overall and 3-17 in the SSC in 2017-18.
